Placement model

Bespoke day provision of up to 3 days per week, agreed through referral, suitability assessment and placement planning.

Learning approach

High-ratio, relationship-led, trauma-informed and practical learning linked to real-life skills.

Operating day

Core day: 9:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, subject to agreed timetables and placement arrangements.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch included.

Commissioning routes

Placements may be commissioned by schools, Local Authorities or other agreed professional routes.

Working in partnership

Lighthouse will

  • deliver the agreed timetable
  • record attendance and engagement
  • monitor progress
  • update risk assessments
  • communicate significant issues
  • attend placement reviews
  • support transition planning

Commissioners and schools should

  • provide complete and accurate referral information
  • share EHCP and SEND documents
  • provide safeguarding and risk information
  • share medical information
  • notify Lighthouse of changes
  • attend review meetings
  • support agreed next steps
