We consider environmental expectations set by commissioning frameworks and relevant UK legislation.

We aim to reduce unnecessary energy use in our premises through simple, practical measures.

We consider environmental impact when selecting resources, equipment and suppliers.

We seek to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible.

Recycling facilities are provided and their use is encouraged across the setting.

We take practical steps to reduce unnecessary water use.

We consider the environmental impact of business travel and prefer local, low-impact options where possible.

Where practicable, we source goods and services from local suppliers.

We favour digital record keeping and paperless processes to reduce print and material use.

Environmental awareness is embedded within our learning pathways where appropriate.

All staff are expected to support environmentally responsible practice.

We monitor progress informally and, over time, will develop simple baselines and measures.

This policy is reviewed annually and updated as our practice matures.
